Spotify Tests Voice-Activated Ads

If you care about your own privacy, you may not be thrilled that while you’re listening to Spotify, Spotify is listening back. But, yup, they’ve just started testing ads that ask listeners if they want to hear more and then wait for a response. They immediately turn off your microphone if you don’t accept the offer. I could add something sarcastic but why bother?

SAP Announces CDP Plan But No Details

SAP yesterday joined the parade of enterprise software vendors who announce plans to launch a CDP without revealing a schedule or details. The goal they described – “to ingest all customer attributes to create a unified profile, including experiential, operational events and activity, behavioural, consent and first-party profile, and demographic data” and share these in real time with SAP and third party applications – sounds like a real CDP. We’ll see what they deliver.

GrowthLoop and TransUnion Partner to Optimize Audience Reach

GrowthLoop will use TransUnion identity data to improve U.S. consumer match rates on client files sent to advertising media such as Facebook and Google Ads.  The data should also help clients to find matches among records within their files, building more accurate customer profiles.  GrowthLoop calls itself a “composable CDP”, meaning it works with data assembled in external data warehouses.
