This AppsFlyer report takes a glass-half-full view of Apple’s tightened privacy rules, reporting that 46% of users have opted to allow app tracking when asked, and predicting rates will increase over time. They also report that companies are getting better at doing attribution in privacy-compliant ways. In plainer terms: the sky is not falling.
We have a few holiday surprises for you today, Dear Reader. This Dun & Bradstreet report finds that just 12% of companies have built their consolidated customer view in a CDP, compared with master data management and CRM, both at 22%; data warehouse for 15%; and data lakes for 11%. Even the lowly spreadsheet clocked in at 15%. More than half (59%) have a multi-vendor sales and marketing tech stack, while 41% base it on a single vendor. Lots more here.
Salesforce is buying Airkit.ai, which builds low-code, AI-powered e-commerce customer service agents. You might have thought Salesforce could already do that, but presumably Airkit does it better. It doesn’t hurt that the company founders sold a previous business to Salesforce, the company was partly funded by Salesforce Ventures, and the product is already listed on AppExchange. Price was not announced.
