They also report that companies are getting better at doing attribution in privacy-compliant ways. In plainer terms: the sky is not falling.

This Dun & Bradstreet report finds that just 12% of companies have built their consolidated customer view in a CDP, compared with master data management and CRM, both at 22%; data warehouse for 15%; and data lakes for 11%. The new target is “early next year.” Reasons for the delay include concerns expressed by U.K. data regulator Information Commissioner’s Office, an ongoing inquiry by the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority, and widespread discontent in the advertising ecosystem.
