Tealium Achieves SOC 2 Type II Data Security Certification

You haven’t been very interested in surveys this week, so let’s switch to product news. CDP vendor Tealium has received SOC 2 Type II certification for its data security practices, which means its internal controls have been independently audited and meet established standards. Many security-conscious organizations require SOC 2 certification by their suppliers.

Cross-Channel Messaging Really Works: Braze Study

But really effective marketing is cross-channel anyway, right? A survey from cross-channel personalization vendor Braze (formerly AppBoy), found that mobile app customers who received only email messages showed a 45% increase in engagement (vs customers sent no messages), but customers who received email, push and in-app messages showed a 543% increase. (Okay, this item doesn’t really relate to the previous two. I do the best I can.)

Microsoft Lets Publishers Block Bing Chat Separately from Bing Search

Nearly one-third of major news publishers have blocked generative AI tools from reading their content.   But that’s a drastic measure which could also exclude their results from conventional search engines.  Microsoft has just given publishers the option to block access by Bing Chat without also removing their content from search results.  We’ll see if competitors do the same.
