Customer data platform Tealium has announced new AI features aimed at improving customer engagement. For example, the Behavioral Insights Agent uses customizable classification to provide faster personalization and segmentation, while Attribute Search has a conversational interface to “talk to your data.” Global AI Settings control which AI features are enabled on account level and profile level.
CDP Treasure Data has launched its AI Marketing Cloud, which brings together multiple suites with various AI agents. These include the Engagement AI Suite for lifecycle teams, Creative AI Suite for campaign managers, and Personalization AI Suite for web marketers. Everything operates with a complete customer view known as the Diamond Record.
OpenAI has become a for-profit corporation, allowing it to raise more money, acquire companies, and do other things it couldn’t as a nonprofit. The nonprofit OpenAI Foundation controls the for-profit OpenAI Group and owns a 26% stake. Microsoft holds a 27% stake and will continue to hold IP rights through 2032.
Meta has announced agreements with USA Today, People Inc., and other news publishers to pay for access to their content and link to their articles in its AI chatbot. It’s a sharp contrast to Perplexity, which the Chicago Tribune and New York Times are separately suing for allegedly scraping content and bypassing paywalls. Despite this deal, Meta apparently still opposes compensating publishers for news links in social media posts.
