Tech Buyers Look for Industry Experience and Post-Sales Support: Epicor Survey

Unless you happen to sell point of sales systems, this Epicor survey of POS buyers may not seem relevant. But the results are probably similar for other tech products.  Key findings: 73% of buyers consider replacing a system within three years of buying it; 93% prefer a system tailored to their industry; 92% want sales teams that understand their industry; sellers don’t provide enough support during deployment; and data migration is the biggest deployment challenge.

Paris-based Koolboks closes $2.5M seed round to scale solar refrigeration across Africa

Koolboks, the sustainable cooling company providing accessible cold storage solutions to businesses across Africa, has closed a $2.5 million seed funding round. The round was led by Nigeria-based Aruwa Capital Management and with participation from Acumen, Blue Earth Capital, All On, GSMA and other investors. This brings the company’s total investment to date to $3.5 million.

GrowthLoop and TransUnion Partner to Optimize Audience Reach

GrowthLoop will use TransUnion identity data to improve U.S. consumer match rates on client files sent to advertising media such as Facebook and Google Ads.  The data should also help clients to find matches among records within their files, building more accurate customer profiles.  GrowthLoop calls itself a “composable CDP”, meaning it works with data assembled in external data warehouses.
