Teradata Launches Autonomous Customer Intelligence

Teradata has launched Autonomous Customer Intelligence, which embeds AI agents throughout its CX offerings. This allows users to proactively incorporate real-time signals across more data points. They’ve also announced a Customer Intelligence Maturity workshop to identify and solve gaps in a company’s existing implementations.

Company Websites are Main Citation Source for Direct AI Queries: Yext

According to research from brand visibility platform Yext, when someone Gemini, ChatGPT, or Perplexity a direct question, such as “What [category] is near me?”, over 40% of citations are from company websites. However, when the question is subjective, such as “What is the best [category]?”, ChatGPT shifts to third-party directories instead. Yext’s conclusion is that brands should “control their narrative” with factual information to better serve direct queries.

Meta Strikes AI Deals with Multiple News Publishers

Meta has announced agreements with USA Today, People Inc., and other news publishers to pay for access to their content and link to their articles in its AI chatbot. It’s a sharp contrast to Perplexity, which the Chicago Tribune and New York Times are separately suing for allegedly scraping content and bypassing paywalls. Despite this deal, Meta apparently still opposes compensating publishers for news links in social media posts.
