AI-powered contact center vendor UJET has closed a $76 million Series D. It’s the company’s first round since 2020 and brings their total funding to $177 million. While large rounds have been rare this year, the real drought has been early funding, so a Series D is less exceptional.
Fifty-one percent of customers want to see less use of AI in brand experiences, according to a new report from PAN Communications. A resounding 80% of marketers agreed that human-authored content has become more important to brand experiences and 100% agreed that “sounding human” is critical. Whether sounding human means being human remains an open question.

CDP and marketing cloud vendor Zeta Global announced an agreement to purchase LiveIntent, which helps companies do email-based advertising. The deal will let Zeta expand its identity graph, enter the publisher monetization business, and accelerate its mobile and retail media products. Zeta will pay $77.5 million in cash and $172.5 million in common stock, with potential for additional payments based on performance.
