V12 Identifies up to Half of Anonymous Web Site Visitors

Few things about online marketing are more frustrating than attracting someone to your Web site and watching them leave without identifying themselves. Marketing data company V12 has launched Signals WebID, which it says can identify up to half of visitors and then reach them through email, direct mail, and social campaigns. The magic comes from their consumer data sets.

One-Third of Large Retailers Have a CDP: Arm Treasure Data Study

One-third (31%) of $1 billion+ retailers have a CDP in place, according to this survey from Arm Treasure Data, WBR Insights and eTail. Another 46% plan to add one. The installed figure seems high but it apparently includes a large number of in-house systems: 51% of respondents had or wanted a custom CDP while just 31% wanted an off-the-shelf product. Event Marketers Increase Integration with Other Systems: Bizzabo Survey

And for a bit of instant nostalgia: remember when we traveled to industry events and saw live people up close? Event tech vendor Bizzabo just published a survey about such craziness, finding that 85% of respondents considered events critical to success and nearly two-thirds planned to increase event budgets this year. One big trend was increased integration between event systems and CRM and marketing automation platforms.

It’s tough to get brand safety right, but the industry keeps trying.  IPG Mediabrands announced a new set of tools to find and block inappropriate ad placements, while IAS expanded its suitability measurements to include standards from the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM).  Meanwhile, DoubleVerify admitted a mistake made brand safety on X/Twitter look worse than it really was in October 2023 and March 2024.
