Wiland and StellarAlgo Partner on Fan Engagement

Marketing data and audience engagement platform Wiland is partnering with sports CDP StellarAlgo to enhance fan intelligence for sports organizations. Wiland’s FanSignals data on billions of fan transactions will be used by the StellarAlgo platform to enhance its fan profiles. The combination is aimed at enhancing fan loyalty, reducing churn and optimizing ticket and merchandise sales.

Questions are raised, however, about ROI and incrementality. Disney and OpenAI Reach Licensing Agreement for Sora

Disney has agreed to license more than 200 characters, costumes, and environments (but not voices or talent likenesses) to OpenAI for Sora, its gen AI video platform. This is highly unusual for Disney, which generally sues AI models for copyright infringement; in fact, it sued Google for that a day before announcing the OpenAI deal. Disney will also invest $1 billion in OpenAI, nicely illustrating how very eager they are to join the AI party.
