Kenya’s B2B agritech startup, iProcure, has raised $10.2 million in Series B funding to grow its presence in its current markets – Kenya and Uganda, and expand to Tanzania. The round was led by Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P), with participation from Novastar Ventures, Ceniarth, and British International Investment (BII) participating.
Koolboks, the sustainable cooling company providing accessible cold storage solutions to businesses across Africa, has closed a $2.5 million seed funding round. The round was led by Nigeria-based Aruwa Capital Management and with participation from Acumen, Blue Earth Capital, All On, GSMA and other investors. This brings the company’s total investment to date to $3.5 million.
Nigerian fintech startup AjoMoney is a community financing platform that digitizes Africa’s centuries-old rotating savings and credit associations (ROSCAs), making it possible for the 65% of Africans who are either unbanked or underbanked to access zero or low interest credit when they collectively save and invest money.
Salesforce has announced a new solution, Unified Knowledge, that will pull data from third-party systems thus supplementing Salesforce Data Cloud with external information sources. Initially, this is mainly aimed at helping Service Cloud users in combination with Einstein for Service’s generative AI. It was developed through a strategic partnership with AI vendor Zoomin.
