Australian leaders hesitant to disclose breaches

Nine in 10 Australian C-suite executives are concerned that requirements for mandatory disclosure of cyber incidents could lead to a loss of competitive advantage, according to new research from PwC. The company’s 2023 Global Digital Trust Insights Survey also found that 81% of Australian respondents felt that requirements to disclose information to regulators and investors discourage them from sharing information with law enforcement authorities. Nubank announces Nucoin, its cryptocurrency aimed at building customer loyalty

Nubank has more than 70 million customers in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. In addition, it has positioned itself as the largest financial services startup in Latin America, with a market capitalization close to US$20 billion. Now, the financial platform born in Brazil in 2013, has announced the creation of Nucoin, its first cryptocurrency. It will be launched in 2023 in its home country, and the development of the digital currency will be carried out on the Polygon blockchain, which offers blockchains for Web3.

Betterfly arrives in Spain after acquiring Flexoh

After arriving in Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador, the Chilean unicorn Betterfly now starts operations in Spain, as part of its expansion plan to reach more than 100 million people. This comes after the insurance startup bought the Valencian fintech, Flexoh, a company dedicated to “flexible retribution,” as the model in which employees voluntarily choose to receive part of their salary in products and benefits is known. Betterfly provides companies with life insurance for their workers.

Criteo launches its Connected TV solution in Australia

Criteo, whose CTV solution uses its unique audiences and robust access to data alongside full-funnel management and full-service support to help customers achieve measurable outcomes, is expanding into Australia. The use of CTV as a retail and marketing tool is growing in Australia. Criteo’s recent Shopper Story Survey research results showed nearly a quarter (24%) of Australians actively used the technology in 2021, which was up from 18% in 2019.

Nielsen incorporates YouTube measurement for three markets in SEA

Nielsen has unveiled the incorporation of YouTube measurement for desktop and mobile within its Total Ad Ratings (TAR) solution across three additional markets in APAC – Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand.  Nielsen will be providing cross-platform metrics on which media buyers and sellers can transact. This will now allow advertisers to measure YouTube inventory in their cross-media campaigns in a total of seven markets globally, which are Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Mexico, Italy, the United States, and France.
