The Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) of BBB National Programs in the US found KidGeni, a generative AI art platform for children, in violation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and of CARU’s Privacy Guidelines. Issues included the company’s failing to provide parents and guardians sufficient information on its practices, failing to obtain their consent before collecting data, and not providing sufficient review and deletion options.
Experimentation platform Eppo has raised $28 million in Series B funding from new and existing investors. Eppo offers A/B testing across marketing, AI and product teams allowing functions across organizations to participate in an experimentation culture. Among other things the funding will help support a new Channel Incrementality test suite that addresses the efficiency of marketing spend.
