With no expense spared, promises of untold riches, and a dream of total surveillance, the Trump administration and Palantir have pledged their troth. This to form a perfect union of US citizen data from department to department, coast to coast. Palantir’s Foundry product was just sold to the Department of Defense to organize and analyze data…and likely to build out detailed personal profiles on pretty much everyone.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott last signed the state’s App Store Accountability Act, which requires mobile app stores to verify users’ ages and get parental consent before users under 18 make downloads or purchases. Similar laws have been passed in several other states and most have been partially or totally blocked by the courts on First Amendment grounds.
Mastercard has unveiled Mastercard Commerce Media, its new digital media network that can attribute conversion to in-store and online purchases. The network features a 25,000-advertiser base and reach to 500 million enrolled customers. A “growing collaboration” with WPP allows connection to traditional media.
