Acquia Enhances CDP and Other Marketing Cloud Products

Acquia, whose CDP is based on its 2019 Agilone acquisition, has announced several product enhancements.  These include a unified user interface among its Marketing Cloud components, which include the CDP; streamline campaign management; and a unified machine learning dashboard.  Acquia also announced improvements to its Drupal cloud and expanded managed services within China.

Customer Experience Is Top Tech Priority: HBR Study

Has the pandemic led companies to prioritize customer experience technology over traditional concerns for security and cost reduction? This Harvard Business Review Analytic Services study for Apptio found that corporate managers ranked customer experience at the top of their list of strategic goals for tech spending. But don’t get too excited: an IDG survey of mostly IT managers found they (still) put cybersecurity, analytics, and business process management ahead of customer experience spending.

New CMA Report Finds More Problems with Google’s Privacy Sandbox

In a follow-up to their January report, the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority raised the number of concerns they have with Privacy Sandbox to 79. Among other issues, they adopted the privacy concerns raised by another U.K. regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office. Google’s recent decision to shift third-party cookie deprecation to next year might mean they saw this coming.
