Retailers Can Now Buy Criteo Ads through Shopify

Criteo isn’t exactly a retail media company, although it does leverage retailer transaction data to support ad targeting.  They’ve just placed their media buying app on the Shopify App Store, making it easier for Shopify merchants to purchase ads through Criteo.  This doesn’t mean that Shopify transactions are being shared with Criteo.

Seventeen Very Large Online Platforms named for new regs by EU Commission

The EU Commission has named 17 companies and 2 search engines to its Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs) and Very Large Online Search Engines (VLOSEs) lists for Digital Services Act (DSA) regulation. This includes Alibaba, Amazon, Facebook, and TikTok (VLOPs), and Bing and Google Search (VLOSEs), which will now have four months to comply with new obligations to be regulated by the DSA.

One-Third of Marketers Will Buy a CDP This Year: Optimove Survey

Just over one-third of marketers plan to either buy a new CDP (21%) or replace an existing one (13%) this year, according to this Optimove survey. Unfortunately, it doesn’t report how many have a CDP already in place, which would put the other values in perspective. It does seem that CDPs are a relatively low priority: they rank sixth on the list of new systems and eighth on the list of systems to replace.
