Consumers Raising the Bar on Expected Experience: Medallia Research

Consumer expectations for customer experience are rising across the board, with youngest customers showing the fastest increases, according to a survey from Ipsos and Medallia. U.S. consumers were most satisfied with online retail experiences and least with mobile network providers. Other interesting results by country.

Bidalgo Uses AI to Guide Ad Creative

Bidalgo, which offers AI-assisted media buying for app marketers, has added an AI-based service to analyze ad creative and recommend changes that will improve results. The system evaluates the impact of variables including images, colors, promotions, contrast, concepts, and copy. It doesn’t actually generate new creative but will write a brief to guide in-house or agency teams. Good to know humans are still good for something, even if it’s just following orders.

Points, which uses AI to assign credit risk to people without bank accounts, has raised $8 million seed funding. Points says it’s claims to be the “the first truly scalable blockchain data collaboration protocol for better credit scoring and inclusive finance” a claim that narrow enough to be true. Blockchain!

Google Again Delays Third-Party Cookie Deprecation

Procrastinators of the world can throw a party whenever they get around to it: Google has once more pushed back complete third-party cookie deprecation.  The new target is “early next year.” Reasons for the delay include concerns expressed by U.K. data regulator Information Commissioner’s Office, an ongoing inquiry by the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority, and widespread discontent in the advertising ecosystem.
