Fivetran Raises $100 Million for Automated Data Connectors

Fivetran is also working to ease integration. They do it with pre-built data connectors that automatically adapt to changes in schemas and APIs. Fivetran isn’t specifically focused on customer data although that’s surely part of their offering. They just raised $100 million Series C, bringing their total to $163 million.

More Big Advertisers Join Facebook Boycott

Microsoft is also on the list of companies joining the #StopHateForProfit Facebook advertising boycott, along with HP, Ford, Honda, Unilever, BestBuy, Denny’s, Pepsi, Hersey, Clorox, and others. The coalition of civil rights organizations behind the boycott rejected adjustments offered by Facebook on Friday and listed demands for substantive changes in policies that foster extremism. Meanwhile, the Trump Administration illustrated its own commitment to free speech by suggesting that Facebook and other social platforms suppress messages from protesters. Oh, and Twitch temporarily suspended Trump from its platform. Busy day.

GrowthLoop and TransUnion Partner to Optimize Audience Reach

GrowthLoop will use TransUnion identity data to improve U.S. consumer match rates on client files sent to advertising media such as Facebook and Google Ads.  The data should also help clients to find matches among records within their files, building more accurate customer profiles.  GrowthLoop calls itself a “composable CDP”, meaning it works with data assembled in external data warehouses.
