This is a $22.1 million Series B for Outlier, which uses automated analysis to produce “proactive, actionable insights” based on changes in data patterns. It all happens “without requiring any configuration or set-up” although you do still have to crawl out of bed in the morning.
Salesforce has purchased CDP Evergage. But don’t get too excited, CDP fans: the company says its main goal is to beef up its real time interaction management and personalization capabilities. Here’s an anti-acquisition: Antivirus software vendor Avast is shutting down its Jumpshot subsidiary, which was just revealed to be selling huge amounts of browsing data from Avast users. The data was technically anonymous and technically gathered with user consent, but new privacy attitudes now make Jumpshot’s practices harder to defend.
GrowthLoop will use TransUnion identity data to improve U.S. consumer match rates on client files sent to advertising media such as Facebook and Google Ads. The data should also help clients to find matches among records within their files, building more accurate customer profiles. GrowthLoop calls itself a “composable CDP”, meaning it works with data assembled in external data warehouses.
