Amazon’s buying Bee – to affordably record all you say

Amazon confirmed they’ve made a sweet deal to buy AI wearable company, Bee, a start-up that uses a Fitbit-like bracelet and an Apple Watch app to record e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g it hears. No need to make appointments, reminders or to-do lists for yourself because Bee’s got you covered at an affordable $50, which is much less than competing offerings from its early AI competitors. Are there privacy risks? Sure, quite a few, but you can manually opt out if you remember to, at least for now. Once Amazon owns Bee, who knows?

Children’s Privacy: Majority of teens tried AI chat buddies; 21% chat multiple times a week

Seventy-two percent of teens have engaged with AI chatbots designed to have personal conversations, and fifty-two percent say they are regular users, according to a Common Sense Media study of more than a thousand teens ages 13-17. While 80% said they still prioritize human friendships (yay, team!), 33% chose AI over humans for serious conversations and 24% have shared personal information.

Bloomreach and Snowflake Partner for Personalization

Bloomreach, the AI-based omnichannel marketing platform, has announced a new partnership with Snowflake AI Data Cloud to connect customer data stored in Snowflake with Bloomreach’s personalization capabilities. A native integration will sync customer attributes and event data from Snowflake into Bloomreach for activation. It will also be possible to automate campaign triggers in Bloomreach using Snowflake events.

Walmart to Launch Four “Super Agents”

Not content with regular agentic AI, Walmart is placing its bets on four so-called “super agents” designed for shoppers, store employees, suppliers and developers. Sparky, already available to shoppers on the Walmart app, is a genAI tool ready with product recommendations and answers to questions. Associate will give employees a unified channel to interact with the company; Marty will onboard suppliers and manage the order process; Developer will be where future AI tools are built.
