The News Gods have been busy elsewhere this past week but they did stop by yesterday with a few gifts. First we have a new loyalty management system from Salesforce, complete with tiered membership, rewards points, and redemptions. It’s a rare Salesforce product that was built in-house.
Data quality starts at home. I mean literally, home, as in where you live. With that in mind, Snap just bought location data platform StreetCred to help build location-based products. Surveillance capitalism marches on.
Mailchimp has been buying its tech recently. Its latest purchase is Chatitive, a two-way SMS marketing platform. Other recent acquisitions have included Reaction Commerce and LemonStand (ecommerce), Sawa (automated design), BigTeam (surveys), and Inspector 6 (content analysis).
GrowthLoop will use TransUnion identity data to improve U.S. consumer match rates on client files sent to advertising media such as Facebook and Google Ads. The data should also help clients to find matches among records within their files, building more accurate customer profiles. GrowthLoop calls itself a “composable CDP”, meaning it works with data assembled in external data warehouses.
