Texas Legislature Restricts Teen Access to Social Media

Is it still news when Republicans restrict the rights of anyone who is not a white male gender-conforming Christian adult?  Probably not, but ignoring it makes them stronger.  So we’ll note that Texas has just passed a law to regulate the content available to minors and give parents access to social media accounts of kids under age 18.

ArcSpan DMP Lets Publishers Monetize Visitors Without Cookies

A cookieless DMP?  Sounds crazy, no?  Yet here is our little village of…oh wait, sorry.  Too much musical theater.  What I meant to say is that ArcSpan calls itself a DMP but, unlike the traditional kind, builds and sells segments based on page contents and custom audience attention metrics.  This lets publishers charge more for impressions that are not tied to addressable individuals.  Radical!

CDP Industry is Growing Again: CDP Institute

With CDP vendors increasing their workforces by 3.4% in six months, compared with an average of 0.2% each six months over the prior two years, the sector seems to be growing again, according to our own semi-annual industry update. There is much talk of composable CDPs but they still employ no more than 5% of the sector workforce. What is a clear trend is the acquisition of independent CDPs by vendors interested in adding a CDP to a larger system (usually an activation system).
