Americans very concerned about AI-generated news

Bospar, a PR and marketing firm, published a survey about ChatGPT, AI and the news. From the perspective of the more than 1,000 US adult survey participants, 74% believe a quarter or more of the news will be generated by AI by 2025, and 93% expressed some fear for the future because of that. This seems apt, since of the more than 300 media workers also surveyed, 74% reported having used or experimented with ChatGPT or other generative AI. When asked its potential to affect the news, respondents said generative AI could be discriminatory, inaccurate, and couldn’t necessarily be trusted.
