Comscore has announced that it has received Media Rating Council accreditation for national and local TV household-level measurement. Comscore is now the only measurement company accredited for its local TV measurement. Nielsen’s local TV accreditation was suspended in 2021 and remains under review.
The European Union has announced new probes into major tech companies investigating non-compliance with the Digital Markets Act. The investigations raise questions about Google self-preferencing in search results, anti-competitive practices related to Google Play and the Apple App Store and Meta’s “pay or consent” model. Penalties can reflect up to 10% of global turnover.
Although over two-thirds of retail store associates regard their devices as critical to their work, allowing access to product information and multi-tasking, 40% complain that employers are not meeting their tech needs with 20% saying it does not appear to be a priority. This is based on a survey of 2,000 associates across seven countries by smart data capture platform Scandit. Around a third of the sample say it can take two to four weeks to get up to speed with devices.
CX management platform Sprinklr is introducing “digital twins.” Not your average chatbot, a Sprinklr digital twin is more like an AI-powered employee, able to plan actions, create workflows and make decisions, but at speed and at scale. They are said to be more easily trained than chatbots and can operate within brand policies and guardrails.
