But the folks at shopping site PureWow are on the case anyway, saving you from the drudgery of shopping carts and Buy Now buttons with “wowtext”, which lets you respond to an offer by texting back one number, showing how many you’d like to buy. I feel less tired just thinking about it.
Email marketing platform Litmus didn’t start out in content recommendation, but they bought in with their acquisition of Kickdynamic last November. They just integrated the Kickdynamic technology into their core email tools. What caught my attention is the recommendations are based on a CDP-ish collection of data from company systems including “CRM, product feeds and more.”
The South African global chat commerce leader – Clickatell, which helps businesses to connect, interact and transact with consumers anytime, anywhere, in chat has secured a $91 million Series C round of funding in a new finance round led by Arrowroot Capital, with Kennedy Lewis Investment Management, Endeavor Global and Harvest participating. They will leverage this Series C round of funding in accelerating their product development and expanding their footprint in the United States.
CDP and marketing cloud vendor Zeta Global announced an agreement to purchase LiveIntent, which helps companies do email-based advertising. The deal will let Zeta expand its identity graph, enter the publisher monetization business, and accelerate its mobile and retail media products. Zeta will pay $77.5 million in cash and $172.5 million in common stock, with potential for additional payments based on performance.
