Trust in ecommerce platforms lags behind social media marketplaces, brick and mortar stores and branded digital storefronts according to a new survey of 500 adult consumers. It can’t help that 42% frequently receive damaged goods and even more report financial fraud, delivery delays and payment glitches. E-sellers are frustrated by back-end processing and fulfillment delays.

Consumer perception prediction platform Curated for You has unveiled a new Purchase Intent Email and SMS Trigger platform. Email and SMS triggers have traditionally been based on past consumer behavior such as cart abandonment. The new platform anticipates future needs based on recent behavior as well as demographic and location data. It seeks to trigger actions based on understanding motivation for behavior rather than just, for example, purchased product attributes.

It’s deal-making time for generative AI model builders and publishers who can provide them with quality data.  Germany publishing giant Axel Springer is trading access to its data for Microsoft adtech, AI, and Azure hosting solutions.  Meanwhile, The Financial Times has struck a deal with OpenAI to license its content with attribution of summaries and quotes.
