Adobe’s Figma Acquisition Draws Anti-Trust Scrutiny in Europe

When Adobe agreed last September to pay $20 billion for fast-growing web design platform Figma,  the intent to remove a competitive threat seemed obvious.  (Or not: see this opposing view.)    A rumored U.S. Department of Justice anti-trust suit never appeared but the U.K. authorities opened an investigation in May and we now have reports that EU authorities are considering action as well.  That’s what happens when you feed them meat

YC-backed Eze raises new capital for its secondhand electronics marketplace

Nigeria’s Eze, a wholesale marketplace for used and new electronics, has secured US$3.7 million in seed funding to develop its technology infrastructure, broaden its product offering and expand into new markets in Africa, Europe and South America. Malaysia’s Carsome completes latest financing round, bringing liquidity position to US$200M

Malaysia-based integrated car e-commerce platform Carsome Group Inc, has announced the closing of its latest fundraising round, which brings the group’s liquidity position to approximately $200 million. It is noted that in 2022, the group’s revenue grew 250 percent to $1.5 billion, with the newly established regional retail line Carsome Certified contributing 35 percent of total revenue.
