Uberall specializes in the modern equivalent, ensuring firms are listed accurately in online directories, review sites, social media and search engines. In fact, they’re so up to date that they just partnered with Amazon Alexa to connect their clients’ data to voice search requests.
People working at Hivery, a retail assortment optimization vendor, apparently call themselves Hiverians, although there’s no sign they dress up as bees. The company claims 20 of the top 25 global consumer package goods brands use its advanced algorithms to tailor retail assortments to local conditions. They just raised a $30 million Series B, no doubt prompting a waggle dance or two.
CDP Optimove has advanced its steady march towards world domination – or, at least, a comprehensive customer engagement system – with the acquisition of Graphyte, a real-time content recommendation platform. The deal comes four months after Optimove bought mobile personalization vendor Kumulos and less than a year after it raised $75 million to fuel its growth.
Just over half of consumers (54%) like to receive personalized messages because they show the consumers are known to the brand, plus they can be time savers. The rest (46%) find it at best unimportant, at worst creepy. Relevance far outstrips personalization when it comes to driving email opens (54% vs. 19%).
