All funding news today, Dear Reader. Top item is a $50 million Series D for AI-powered retail personalization vendor Bluecore, bringing its total raise to $113 million. Unlike BlueConic, BlueVenn, and Blueshift, Bluecore is not a CDP. They do have a rare pricing model based entirely on shared customer success.

Open source start-up RudderStack also isn’t quite a CDP. They gather event data and resolve identities, but then pass the results to other systems instead of storing them. They just raised a $5 million seed round.

Truthset has emerged from stealth with $4.75 million in seed funding. They plan to score the quality of data marketers purchase from other vendors, mostly by comparing information from different sources. Interesting concept but the value depends on how well they judge which sources to trust.

The latest phase in pandemic marketing is announcing how you help companies reopen. Cloud-based workforce management vendor Workday is on top of the trend with a new integration with Salesforce’s Work.com office safety suite. Workday also announced integration with Microsoft Teams and availability on the Microsoft Azure cloud.

Another sign of creeping normality is that ZoomInfo is moving ahead with its Initial Public Offering, planning to raise up to $800 million at a valuation of nearly $7 billion. It’s more ambitious than the $500 million IPO announced in early March, before COVID-19 shutdowns hit hard.

In another bit of business-as-almost-usual, open source web development framework Gatsby has raised a $28 million Series B, bringing its total to $47 million. You may have thought WordPress, Drupal, and others had the open source Web CMS business locked down, but Gatsby lets developers create Web sites by stitching together separate cloud-based services. It’s APIs all the way down.

It’s a bit of a grab bag today, Dear Reader. First some CDP news: CDP Celebrus has added a collection of real-time machine learning and natural language processing capabilities. The list includes 50+ behavioral signals detected by machine learning; streams of real-time content recommendations; detection of unusual customer behaviors; and signals based on text analysis.

Next, we have content experience platform Uberflip launching a marketplace to connect data sources, personalization engines, tracking tools, and more. You could read this as Uberflip trying to put itself at the center of its clients’ marketing stack, but it’s probably more aimed at simplifying connections with systems that supplement Uberflip’s own capabilities.

And an acquisition: partner management platform Partnerize has purchased brand safety platform BrandVerity. The deal will make it easier for Partnerize clients to ensure the affiliates are complying with rules for how brands can be presented. Did you notice that everything’s a platform these days?

Trust Stamp preserves privacy with a biometric-based identity token that’s unique for each individual but doesn’t reveal any personal information. This lets companies identify shared customers and authenticate individual identities without exposing personal data. They launched a Seedvest campaign last week which has so far raised $2.7 million of a $5.6 million goal, plus another $2.6 million from private investors.
