Remote work creates new security risks. So it’s worth noting that more than half the organizations polled in this Cybersecurity Insiders report are less than fully confident in their identity and access management programs. One possible reason: respondents prioritize ease of integration (72%) and end-user experience (62%) over product effectiveness (61%).

Onfido helps with one aspect of identity management: proving you are who you claim when opening a new account or otherwise asserting an identity. The system remotely reads government-issued IDs and compares the ID photo with a live view of the person’s face. They just raised $100 million, bringing their total funding to $200 million.

Intent data is one way to get an idea about future purchases. Business data compiler ZoomInfo is on the case, with a new set of B2B purchasing signals derived from ZoomInfo-owned Datanyze and other sources. Clients can get alerts for target accounts or companies in tightly defined market segments.

Shifting to a different type of data compiler, Edited has raised $29 million for its archive of product information. It’s not just any archive, mind you: they track promotions and pricing on more than 2.5 billion SKU across 90,000 retailers going back for eight years. It’s more fun than, well, something.

Consumer responses to the pandemic have been widely reported but less is known about B2B buyers. Here’s a survey from Loopio, which makes software that helps companies respond to RFPs. As of early April, 33% of respondents had seen a drop in the volume of RFPs they received and another 35% said it was too early to tell. Sixty percent were working from home for the first time although just 12% said remote RFP collaboration was a top challenge.

Seventy-eight percent of marketers expect to increase their spend on virtual events as a result of coronavirus, according to this NewsCred survey, while 27% expect to spend less on digital ads. My take: the focus is on telling stories, not pushing product. A whopping 87% said their entire marketing staff is working remotely.

Conferencing software is everyone’s new best friend and while Zoom gets most of the attention, BlueJeans has plenty of users too. It’s easy to forget that not everyone is working from home. This Yahoo News/YouGov poll brings the class divide into sharp focus: 66% of people without household income over $100,000 are working from home compared with 18% with incomes under $50,000. The lowest income brackets are half as likely to have paid sick leave (31% vs 68%) and twice as likely to fear they’ll lose their job in the next month (36% vs 18%).

Data compiler and identity graph vendor Zeotap has launched Customer Intelligence Platform, which lets companies build unified profiles with their own data, enhance these with Zeotap information, and activate the results across advertising channels in 14 global markets. The system supports online and offline sources.

Neustar, another identity resolution giant, has introduced two new services for compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Identity Verification for CCPA ensures that people making a data access request are really who they say they are. Identity Resolution for CCPA helps organizations link all data they have about each individual. Mobile messaging platform Attentive has added $40 million to the Series C financing it announced in January, bringing the Series C to $110 million and total funding to $164 million. Life may not be normal but the economy hasn’t ground to a complete stop.

I never expected to write that headline and you never expected to read it, Dear Reader, but such are the times. Two-thirds (69%) of respondents to this Monday.Com survey said they enjoy working from home more than they expected and 54% said they’re more productive than at the office.
