OneTrust has announced a $150 million investment led by Generation Investment Management, bringing its total funds to date to more than $1 billion for a $4.5 billion valuation. The funding will be used to accelerate platform innovation in areas including privacy, security, ethics and ESG. OneTrust was named #1 for the fourth year in a row by IDC’s Worldwide Data Privacy Compliance Software Market Shares.

Womble Bond’s second annual survey asked more than 200 business leaders about top privacy concerns and found only 50% of organizations feel very prepared to address the many privacy laws in a fast-changing global landscape. Only 34% report having conducted data mapping and having a clear understanding of data practices at their company.
