Data is Key to Latin American E-Commerce Logistics: skyrocketing growth and improvements in logistics

Among the larger individual economies in the region, Argentina’s was the fastest growing, with a retail e-commerce increase rate of 79%; Brazil’s e-commerce growth rate was 35%, and Mexico’s was 27%. This skyrocketing growth, coupled with the region’s size—Latin America has a population of more than 650 million people—has attracted the attention of e-commerce marketers all over the world.

Hightouch Raises $12.1 Million for “Reverse ETL”

My poor brain is also struggling with why “reverse ETL” isn’t spelled as “LTE”.  That’s because “reverse ETL” vendor Hightouch just raised a $12.1 million Series A.  They run continuously-updated SQL queries that pull customer data from lakes and warehouses into CRM, marketing, analysis, and other destination systems.  Hightouch doesn’t store any data itself, so it’s really just a data pipe – or maybe an epip.

Google Again Delays Third-Party Cookie Deprecation

Procrastinators of the world can throw a party whenever they get around to it: Google has once more pushed back complete third-party cookie deprecation.  The new target is “early next year.” Reasons for the delay include concerns expressed by U.K. data regulator Information Commissioner’s Office, an ongoing inquiry by the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority, and widespread discontent in the advertising ecosystem.
