There were several random acquisitions yesterday, Dear Reader, but nothing that can’t wait to next week. So let’s give you some surveys to read over the weekend. We’ll start with this study from CDP vendor Evergage, which finds that 90% of marketers are seeing at least some lift from their personalization efforts, even though just 16% are very or extremely satisfied with their company’s efforts. Nor are they impressed with their peers: only 32% think marketers in general are getting personalization right.
Just-launched Brightback also fights churn, helping high-volume subscription businesses identify customers who are at risk of leaving and intervening with automated retention workflows. The system integrates with CRM, messaging, chat and support systems. Brightback has $11 million in funding.
Salesforce’s Dreamforce mega-conference is next week and the company’s publicity elves are already working overtime. In the first of what are sure to be daily announcements this week, the company announced 100+ industry-specific prompts, data models, and AI capabilities across its fifteen industry clouds. It also launched an AI Use Case Library to house its industry-specific AI offerings.
