We’ll start with this study from CDP vendor Evergage, which finds that 90% of marketers are seeing at least some lift from their personalization efforts, even though just 16% are very or extremely satisfied with their company’s efforts. Nor are they impressed with their peers: only 32% think marketers in general are getting personalization right.
Just-launched Brightback also fights churn, helping high-volume subscription businesses identify customers who are at risk of leaving and intervening with automated retention workflows. The system integrates with CRM, messaging, chat and support systems. Brightback has $11 million in funding.
Procrastinators of the world can throw a party whenever they get around to it: Google has once more pushed back complete third-party cookie deprecation. The new target is “early next year.” Reasons for the delay include concerns expressed by U.K. data regulator Information Commissioner’s Office, an ongoing inquiry by the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority, and widespread discontent in the advertising ecosystem.
