Lytics Introduces the ‘Experience CDP’

Lytics has added new features and repositioned itself as an “Experience CDP” (xCDP), a change it believes will “finally solve the persistent challenges of Customer Data Platforms” by supporting CDPs’ “core mission” of “simplifying the complexity of personalization at scale.”  Key capabilities include real-time data access, cross-channel orchestration, content integration, and a free personalization offering. MessageGears Offers Full CDP Replacement

MessageGears has snappily redefined itself as “fully composable end-to-end data activation and engagement platform.”  In considerably plainer English, it says it can now replace a separate CDP, email service provider, and customer engagement platform while relying on a cloud data warehouse.  Although the different features are tightly integrated, they can be purchased as separate components by companies who don’t want the full kit.

Marriott to pony up $52M to settle with FTC and 49 of 50 states

A pretty penny to pay given Marriott’s not sure it’s liable, but $52 million is the cost to satisfy the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and attorneys general of 49 states (and District of Columbia) for breaches that affected more than 300 million Marriott customers worldwide. The breaches were also investigated by the FBI who suspected hackers were working on behalf of the Chinese government.

Children’s Privacy: And they know it! TikTok leak shows stats on addiction

Let’s be honest, what’s more enticing than getting kids hooked on your product? TikTok has it down to a science – right down to the number of times it takes a user to reach their “habit moment,” which is apparently 260 or more videos watched in the first week of having an account. This according to leaked information revealed in unredacted lawsuit documents that also show TikTok’s algorithm can protect against seeing too many unattractive people.
