CDP Optimove has purchased gamification marketing platform Adact and will make its capabilities available throughout Optimove’s “positionless” customer journeys.   Adact lets marketers create interactive experiences such as quizzes, mini-games, and lotteries without any coding. It’s Optimove’s fourth acquisition but their first since 2022.

Cloud-based customer service platform Zendesk has acquired Local Measure, an AWS partner and provider of AI-powered voice and Contact-Center-as-a-Service solutions. This will bring Zendesk into closer integration with Amazon Connect’s contact center capabilities. It will also enhance Zendesk’s ability to offer customers AI-powered voice engagement.

Some shoppers are open to AI agents’ purchase recommendations (38%) and believe the agents speed up the shopping process (31%), but most (66%) don’t want AI making purchases for them even if the deals are better. This shows good sense given research that shows AI trying to fool human evaluators and jailbreak test environments.  Of course, businesses will push ahead with AI regardless, suggesting this is a bad time to reduce government oversight.

Tealium, the customer data management platform, is releasing AIStream, a new solution that enables data labeling and enrichment within the streaming pipeline. The aim is to ensure that AI models are trained on clean and enriched data and can also channel AI-powered insights back into the CX layer. Tealium has also released Consent 2.0, a data privacy management suite.

Contentstack is launching what it describes as an “adaptive” digital experience platform, Contentstack EDGE. The platform is built on a composable architecture and includes not only Contentstack’s headless CMS but also real-time CDP capabilities from its acquisition of Lytics. The DXP is designed to respond in real-time to customer signals through AI decisioning.

Taboola is moving beyond its established native advertising business with a new adtech platform, Realize. Realize is focused on advertisers looking for performance outcomes. It will run performance-based campaigns beyond search and social on many of the world’s largest publishers across all ad inventory, including OEMs and apps.

Pega GenAI Blueprint can build journey maps and workflows from natural language prompts. Pega has now launched a Blueprint specifically to support the rapid design of customer engagement programs. Blueprints can be imported into Pega Decision Hub’s 1:1 Operations Manager for execution.

Online marketers must increasingly worry about their ads appearing near objectionable content. The industry is trying to help: DoubleVerify now lets customers using Brand Safety and Suitability measurement request detailed URL-level reporting on their open web advertising campaigns. This follows a similar move by Amazon. DoubleVerify is also launching content-level controls on Meta’s Facebook and Instagram feeds.
