The FTC, under Trump-appointed Chairman Andrew Ferguson, is launching an inquiry into how tech platforms “deny or degrade users’ access to services based on the content of their speech or affiliations, and how this conduct may have violated the law.” “Tech firms should not be bullying their users,” said Ferguson. Right now, its advertisers who seem to be getting bullied back onto X by the newfound powers of Elon Musk.

Amazon will offer new page-level reporting for its DSP through its Traffic Events API in addition to its existing site-level reporting. The aim is to heighten brand safety controls. The move follows criticism of Amazon, Google and other vendors for allowing ads to appear on sites containing child sexual abuse material.

Adobe announced plans for Real-Time CDP Collaboration last spring and this week announced its general availability in the U.S. (although it gave the strong impression that it was generally available last December). Essentially a data clean room, the appeal of Collaboration is that it is integrated with Adobe’s CDP. Interoperability enables the connection of data across select partners such as AWS and The Trade Desk as well as the activation of audiences created in Adobe Experience Platform.

Amazon is testing a feature that will allow users to buy products direct from brand websites if they are not available in Amazon’s inventory. Currently in beta, the feature will show those products alongside the hundreds of millions of products available directly from Amazon. It’s not like they’re risking the store.

As part of a series of product updates, DXP Sitecore has said that Sitecore CDP will now deliver AI-powered recommendations for campaign optimization. It also announced capabilities to keep AI-driven actions on brand as well as the launch of AI agents and agentic workflows. A new content copilot enabled by Sitecore Stream AI will help marketers generate content variants.

There has been further confirmation that Reddit may move to monetize content by putting some subreddits behind paywalls. Reddit CEO Steve Huffman has described this as “a work in progress.” Less and less of the internet is looking free.
