SpaceX’s Starlink forms India subsidiary, aims to deploy 200,000 active terminals by 2022

Starlink, part of Elon Musk’s SpaceX company, has registered its business in India and is preparing to apply for licenses from the local government, according to a top official. A local unit is required for an internet company to offer its services in India, where Starlink — assuming that it gets the license — plans to offer 200,000 active terminals in over 160,000 districts by December 2022.

Middle East focused data-driven marketing platform, MEmob+, welcomes Near as new investor

Singapore-based Near acquired a minority stake in MEmob+, a leading Middle Eastern SaaS provider of data-driven marketing solutions owned by Dubai-based Akama Holding. Near will work with MEmob+ to continue its global expansion with a push into the Middle East and Africa. The company has access to billions of device IDs globally, including more than 400 million in MENA.

Latin America stands to benefit most from crypto

El Salvador’s Bitcoin (BTC) adoption has triggered a digital asset revolution in Latin America, and the region could benefit even more if people can exchange cryptocurrencies, fiat money and the upcoming central bank digital currencies (CBDC) on the same infrastructure. Venezuela and Colombia are the two most prominent crypto adopters in the region besides El Salvador. However, other nations are closing the gap rather quickly, with El Salvador acting as a catalyst.

52% of companies in Latin America believe that SEO is not fundamental for organizations

WeAreContent, a leading company in multimedia content creation and effective content strategies with SEO techniques, presented last month through the virtual event with partners of the IAB Colombia, the results of the SEO Latin America 2021 digital study. One of the conclusions found that that there is a clear lack of knowledge in the marketing areas of organizations and also in their digital areas. Only 57% of the digital areas of organizations consider SEO to be fundamental and 43% do not see it as an essential tool surprise the community.

Marketers are Overworked and Use Lots of Apps: Airtable Report

Hi, it’s Jamie, Senior Intern at the CDP Institute Department of the Obvious. The Boss said his arm was too sore to write today, which seems weird but lets me share this Airtable study which found that most marketers are overworked, half spend at least 30% of their time on manual tasks, and 60% of teams use more than twenty tools on a regular basis. Incidentally, Kintone disagrees: they say the average office worker actually uses 35 apps and switches among them at least 1,100 times each day.
